Role: Developer
Project: Dungeon Escape Game — Behind the Door
— 01
Overview
Behind the Door is a non-commercial, top-down 2D pixel-art escape room game I developed with four fellow University of Chicago alumni over a three-week production cycle. Players wake up in an underground hall and must search three connected rooms for clues, collecting three keys to escape before they can leave the basement.

My Role
Across the team, I took on a mix of coordination and hands-on development work: - In brainstorm stage, designed the game's foundational narrative, including the title "Behind the Door" - Coordinated the team's overall production timeline and task delegation - Designed the level layout, puzzles, and clue progression for one of the three rooms - Built the game's audio system using Unity's built-in audio engine - Designed and implemented the pause menu and main menu - Led QA testing across all three rooms to catch softlocks, puzzle logic errors, and UI issues
